Jacco van de Meent provides advice and litigates in matters concerning insurance and liability law. He mainly assists insurers and insurance brokers. His practice focusses on property, liability, heavy equipment, goods in transit, technical insurances and insurance fraud. Jacco frequently gives lectures about these topics at conferences and meetings. He also publishes in these fields, and is co author of the books ‘Het nieuwe verzekeringsrecht in vogelvlucht’ and ‘Verzekering ter beurze’. Jacco further lectures at the post graduate  course Insurance law at the University of Amsterdam.

Jacco joined Cox Ten Bruggencate having worked as an attorney-at-law in the Rotterdam area for seventeen years. In 2008, he graduated from the post graduate Grotius course on Corporate and Liability law. Jacco is a board member of the Dutch Association for Insurance Science (Vereniging voor Verzekeringswetenschap), and is also a member of the Association for Liability and Compensation Law. Jacco is registered for the practice area General practice (Civil law) in the register of legal practice areas of the Dutch Bar Association.
